  • Clearly explain loan programs, rates, timelines, and requirements
  • Manage your own pipeline and stay on top of deadlines
  • Work closely with processors and underwriters to close loans efficiently

  • Best suited for experienced loan officers who self-source business
  • Flexible, remote, and performance-driven
  • Built around high commissions and low internal bureaucracy

This role is not:

  • A lead-provided or call-center position
  • A machine that doesn’t value its employees
  • A corporate structure with layers of management

What We’re Looking For

  • Active Michigan Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license (NMLS / SAFE Act)
  • 1+ years of mortgage lending or sales experience
  • A proven ability to generate and close your own loans
  • Strong understanding of mortgage products and underwriting guidelines
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule
  • Professional, responsive, and relationship-driven
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Compensation & Work Environment

  • Uncapped commission structure
  • Higher payout per loan than retail models
  • Work/life balance driven by how you build your business
  • Fully remote

Bottom Line

This is a solid opportunity for loan officers who don’t need leads handed to them and want to be rewarded for the business they bring in. If you value autonomy, flexibility, and earning potential over corporate polish, this is worth a conversation.
